Sorry for the lack of updates....been busy this week and also partly lazy to blog...
bobby is settling well in his new home...but we realized one thing when we brought him to the dog run..bobby has been sterilised but he loves to go hump other dogs still and worse still he only humps male dogs :S can someone tell me y?
ger & pirate doing fine..brough ger to dog run for the first time and she was so sticky that when i off leash her..she refuse to go mingle ard and stick with me the whole time, never leaving me more than a metre away...it was a funny sight because i wanted her to have the free run...play with other dogs...but she chose to stick by my side..which kinda defeat the purpose of me bringing her to the dog run right? haha my sweet loyal ger...Pirate has been a brat refusing to eat his dry food again and only eats when i give him can food...i hope he is not sick....both pai & ger will be going vet next month for their vaccine & checkup..hope all goes well...
Went to visit pixie too...she is sooooo happy at the shelter..that when i want to bring her out of the shelter...she simply refuse to...i tink she is too comfortable at the shelter with all her good frens and nice volunteer taking gd care of her...she has been active, eating well and all but dont seem to be gaining much weight though...will bring her to sterilise next month..hopefully she will gain some weight after that...
Will find time next week to visit buddy & pompom...
I have received $270 donation to cover pixie medical bills..thank you all for the kind donation...pixie will appreciate your love for her...am trying to raise another $150 to cover her for her sterilisation next month...if you would like to contribute, do let me know.. thank you all so much...

Schedule for the week..
11 July (Sat): GerGer shifting to Anderson's home
(Keeping me fingers crossed that she will be fine there, adapt well and eat well. Folks at Noo age super love her esp Uncle Soon I know he cant bear to see her go. I feel terrible making this decision to let her shift to anderson esp when she finally settle in so well at Noo age. But I want her to have more company and be well taken care of 24/7, thus decided to shift her to Anderson's home)
12 July (Sun): Visit Pom Pom
(Cant wait to see this adorable ger and hug her. Will update with pictures on her after the visit :)
15 July (Wed): Visit Bobby, my dear boy
(Havent seen him in a while, will be visiting this sweet boy too since i am on leave that day. I hope he still rems me)
* Might be visiting Buddy on Wed too
Next weekend is gona be a busy weekend, with company shifting and events to do..i cant wait for next week to be over soon...i need a break!!!!

Heartwarming..
It's always heartwarming to know the dogs which you have rescued & helped find a new home, is doing really well in HIS home and is being loved...you cant imagine i was so happy when i received an email of buddy boy happy pictures from his owner...
I havent had the time to visit him recently and i guess the owner knew that i miss him...so she took some pictures of him and email me with all the updates about buddy..its really the little thoughts that count and this email update of buddy that kept me happy for the day...and also serves as a reminder to keep myself going strong for the other dogs that need help...
With that...i shall end of with some beautiful pictures of our handsome buddy...

A Gentle Giant looking for home...

Adoption put on hold. Owner will try to solve her family problem and will be keeping buddy boy for now...she still loves him too much to put him up for adoption :)

Reason for Being Given Up: Owner faced with family problem
Good with Children: Yes, very patient and gentle with small kids (Owner has a baby and 2 toddlers, and Buddy always allow them to snatch his toys, lie on him and even ride on him)
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with other animals: Yes, he always run up to neighbor’s home to play with their rabbit.
Dog's Temperament: Very Tame, Sweet Temperament, Obedient, Gentle, not barkish and very patient
Dog's Problems: Had his tail docked off when he was found as a puppy (because someone tied a rubberband ard his tail) and when found, needs to be amputated. He is scared of having his nails cut.

Buddy had been up for adoption a few times- not because he is aggressive, not because he is disobedient, and definitely not because he is hard to teach. In fact, he is a very gentle giant who is tame, obedient and takes in very well to dogs and small kids (look at his video and you will realize how tame and patient he is with kids, even small kids). The only thing that is not right would be his fate. He had been rehomed a few times not because the owners want to get rid of him, but because of all the circumstances happening at home which eventually does not allow them to keep Buddy.
Living a life of a roller coaster, having ups and downs, Buddy is still living his life with a smile. After searching for so long, Buddy boy thought he had finally found a forever home with his current owner. But sometimes unfortunate things just happen, as his owner is having some problem with the family and is forced to put buddy up for adoption.
Buddy is a big dog with a big heart. He is a giant but with a heart of gold. He is patient, obedient, tame and loyal. He will just give in his all to love you, and all he is asking for is someone to promise to take care and love him till his very last breath. Look beyond the surface and you will find something so special about him that is worthy for you to have him. He didn’t have a choice to live his life like this, but you have a choice that will make a difference to him by letting him be part of your life to bring you joy and laughter for many years to come.

Buddy's Clone...
Was browsing through ASD website and saw a puppy - named HUGO for adoption...I also couldnt believed my eyes..this puppy looks 100% like Buddy when he was a puppy...similar marking esp on the head...amazing really..a mini clone of buddy spotted after 2.5yrs hehe...i hope HUGO goes to a good home soon...

Yesterday....
I had a splendid time yesterday...Went to visit bobby and together with his owners we went to Pasir Ris Petsmover dogrun....Naughty bobby was in the mood to hump all the dogs he met there and his poor owner had to keep an eye on him in case he hurt other dogs while he decided to hump them...
Can tell that they really do love bobby alot and bobby is happy being with them too :) It took him a few seconds to remember me when i went to pick them up yesterday...i called his name..he stood there looking surprised...stared at me..and then realised that I am calling him and then run happily torwards me and jumping and scratching me to show his joy :) Really miss him alot..but I am glad he's happy now...
His owners even went to Petsmover to buy him a nice and comfy bed and alot of treats...bobby boy is really being loved....
After my brief & very enjoyable 2 hr outing with bobby n his owners..i head on down to visit buddy...he's doing great too....heard he's really good with their small kids and gentle too...their kids enjoy playing with him too and they are not afraid of him despite his BIG size...he's just a gentle giant...a big baby :)...his owner has nothing but good praises for Buddy..HAPPY!
I feel so blessed to see both my rehomed dogs being in such lovely home...being loved by their owners and most importantly from the looks in Bobby's & Buddy's face...Im very sure they are very contented with the life they are living now :) And most importantly I can confirm that they are very loyal too...because despite me not visting them that frequently...they still rem me...they still shower me with licks and vigourous tail wags...the happiness of seeing them so happy is really irreplacable....
P.S: Was rushing out to visit them that i forgot to bring my camera..will get the photos from their owners and post it up soon :)

Visited Buddy on 18/07/2008 (Friday)
Visit Buddy on Friday with Jingjing n bf..If you dun rem..Buddy is pirate's brother that got adopted to a great family after 1 year of searching and waiting...
Buddy and pirate does have slight resembles but Buddy is much taller..Many often say that Buddy's face looks very fierce but in fact he is not fierce at all..
Come to think of it, Buddy and Bobby character & tempermant are almost the same. They look fierce but actually are totally opposite of how they look, they are excellent with kids, both have sad looking eyes, gentle with dogs and seldom bark...if fact i feel that Buddy and Bobby kinda look quite similar :) And the funny thing is, their name is somewhat similar too..This is so coincidental! Now i wonder if Bobby will have the same fate as Buddy and get himself a great loving family to adopt him? I do hope so...
Take a look, I seriously think they look so similar.

On a side note: All my rescued dogs are white with brown patches. So much of coincidental huh...
Anyway, some pictures of Buddy when we visited him:
